Two types of files can be viewed below. The PDF viewer provides the ability to save (download) the file.
The Chapter Notes files contain extensive comments regarding each section of the text, including proofs of comments made by Rudin which he makes without proof. The Chapter Notes files also contain more detailed explanations of Rudin's proofs of theorems, filling in many gaps in the text.
The second set of files, Solutions to Exercises, contain detailed unofficial solutions to all of the exercises at the end of each chapter of the text. Both the Chapter Notes and Solutions to Exercises were created using LaTeX to make the PDF files very readable and are intended for educational use.
To view a file, click on a tab, and then select the desired file from the drop down box. The selected document will appear in the window below and in a new tab window. You may then scroll up and down through the file.
Note: browsers on iOS devices may not allow scrolling in the window below. However, scrolling is allowed when the document appears in a new tab window. Make sure the browser's settings allow popup windows to be displayed.
